RECLA (Rainbow Education Coalition Los Angeles) is a community coalition—anyone is welcome to join—working to ensure LGBTQ+ students are safe, supported, and protected through real accountability, policy implementation, and long-term investment across LAUSD.
Tobacco Cessation for all LGBTQ+ Community Members
LEA supports LGBTQ+ youth and young adults in reducing tobacco use and pushing back on Big Tobacco’s targeting of our communities—through education, resources, and coalition advocacy across Los Angeles.
LEA’s Community Clean-ups were founded in 2020, as a direct response to COVID-19’s environmental impact, social isolation, and the need for civic engagement. We gather volunteers like youth, parents, and community members who share a vision for a better and cleaner future and meet once every 2 months in different locations across Los Angeles County. Together, we beautify our cities with queer love and hard work!
PAC: A Parent Support Group Rooted in Culture, Care, and Allyship
Padres Aliados Conectados (PAC) is a safe space for parents, guardians, and caregivers in East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and Southeast LA. Together, we build community, learn from one another, and strengthen our ability to support LGBTQ+ youth—at home and beyond.
Substance-Free Community, Harm Reduction, and Support (18+)
QT Connect is an 18+ program rooted in harm reduction and community care. We create welcoming, substance-free spaces where queer and trans folks—especially transitional age youth, queer women, non-binary, and trans community members—can build community, learn life-saving harm reduction skills, and access resource navigation in Boyle Heights, East LA, Southeast LA (SELA), and gateway cities.

LEA offers support groups and resources for our community members in order to address how Queer and Trans youth are disproportionately impacted by substance dependency and misuse and identify healthy coping mechanisms and mental health resources through restorative justice practices. LEA celebrates our Queer and Trans existence and artistic/cultural contributions to the world through the values of familia, orgullo y corazon. While it is important to advocate for our safety and wellness, we are more than the violence and trauma that we experience as queer and trans people of color. Mind Over Matter is a skills-building and substance-use awareness campaign for high school youth in Southeast Los Angeles (SELA). We advocate for reforming zero-tolerance drug policies in the Montebello Unified School District to replace punitive measures with mental-health–centered support.
Through art, advocacy, and public education, we work to reshape the narrative around youth substance use—from a criminal problem to a mental health concern.

Mi Centro in Boyle Heights houses the main offices of the Latino Equality Alliance and offers various services and resources in partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Resource Center. This center provides vital community support, including HIV testing, legal consultation, and other services on specific days.

Mi SELA is the first LGBTQ+ Youth Resource Center located in the City of Bell, providing a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth. The center offers a range of programs and resources designed to foster community and personal growth.
