As the Latino Equality Alliance (LEA) celebrates 16 years of advocacy, we gather in 2025 to honor our journey and stand firm amid growing political attacks on LGBTQ+ rights.
In a time when our communities are being targeted by anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, book bans, and educational censorship, the Purple Lily Awards serve as a beacon of resistance and celebration. This milestone event uplifts the champions who defend dignity, equity, and belonging for all.
This year, we are proud to honor outstanding trailblazers:
Bamby Salcedo, a nationally recognized transgender activist and founder of the TransLatin@ Coalition, whose advocacy has shaped policies and lives across the country.
LAFC (Los Angeles Football Club), for their public commitment to inclusion and for using their platform to amplify LGBTQ+ visibility and equity.
Over 250 youth, families, allies, and leaders are expected to attend the 2025 Purple Lily Awards, which will spotlight the power of community and collective action. It will be a night of joy, remembrance, and renewed purpose.
