More Than a Safe Space

Orgullo Camp exists because LGBTQ+ youth deserve more than a safe space. You deserve to feel like you belong. You deserve to have your identity celebrated. You deserve support that is real, affirming, and rooted in community.

At Orgullo Camp, young people come together to have fun, build confidence, explore leadership, and connect with peers and trusted adults who believe in them.

Whether you are looking for friends, new skills, creative activities, or a place where you can show up as yourself, Orgullo Camp is here for you.

Why Youth Join

Orgullo Camp is designed to feel welcoming, joyful, and empowering.

Youth join because they want:

  • A fun, affirming space
A place to laugh, create, connect, and feel supported.

  • Leadership development
Workshops and activities that help youth build confidence, communication skills, and a stronger sense of self.

  • Community building
Opportunities to meet other LGBTQ+ youth and allies who understand the importance of belonging.

  • Free food
Meals and snacks are provided so participants can focus on enjoying the experience.

  • Free Orgullo Camp items
In past years, participants have received Orgullo Camp shirts, totes, and other special items.

For Parents and Caregivers

Many LGBTQ+ youth face isolation, bullying, stress, and limited access to affirming spaces—especially in communities where resources are scarce. When young people do not have a place to breathe, connect, and be understood, it can be harder for them to thrive.

Orgullo Camp offers youth a supportive environment where they can build friendships, learn new skills, and feel celebrated for who they are.

This is a space where young people are cared for, encouraged, and connected to community.

What to Expect

At Orgullo Camp, youth experience community in a way that feels joyful and freeing.

Participants can expect:

  • Affirming, youth-centered activities and workshops
  • Community-building and leadership moments
  • Creative expression and confidence-building
  • A safe space to connect with peers and trusted adults

Orgullo Camp is fun, meaningful, and designed to help youth leave with more confidence, more support, and more pride in who they are.
