A Safe Space for Youth in Bell Gardens

The Bell Gardens LGBTQ+ Youth Club was created in response to the need for more affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in Southeast Los Angeles.

Too often, youth have to travel far to find LGBTQ+ resources, supportive programs, or spaces where they can show up as their full selves. This group brings that support closer to home.

Here, youth can feel seen, build trust, and find community in a space designed with care.

What Youth Can Expect

At the Bell Gardens LGBTQ+ Youth Club, participants can expect a warm, welcoming environment where they can connect with peers and trusted adults.

Youth group activities may include:

  • Community-building activities
  • Arts and crafts
  • Resource navigation
  • Substance-use and harm reduction education
  • Leadership and confidence-building activities
  • Conversations about wellness, identity, and belonging

This is a space to ask questions, make friends, learn something new, and feel supported.

Why This Space Matters

Southeast LA has long needed more LGBTQ+ affirming resources and youth-centered spaces. For young people in Bell Gardens and nearby communities, access matters.
