You are invited to the 2023 Calavera LGBTQ Street Festival!
The 8th Annual Calavera LGBTQ Festival will be held in-person on Saturday, October 21st at Mi Centro, LGBTQ community center, in Boyle Heights. The Calavera LGBTQ Festival is a Day of the Dead intergenerational event that celebrates our community by uniting our Latinx and LGBTQ culture. Every year, over 300 community members gather to celebrate our culture and enjoy traditional altars, queer Latinx artists, folklorico dancers, Aztec dancing, and a Mx. Calavera drag competition. Proceeds from the event benefit programs offered through LEA that create safe spaces, promote youth leadership development, and increase family acceptance.
